Built Green is an environmentally friendly building philosophy that is characterized by the use of durable, sustainable and environmentally friendly materials and methods.  There are several advantages to going Green:

- Home Owners save money on heating, cooling and home maintenance costs.

- Green Homes are healthier, as they minimize or eliminate the use of products containing VOC's and toxic substances like formaldehyde.

- Old growth forests are conserved by using easily renewable materials such bamboo instead of traditionally harvested old growth woods.

- Site disturbance is kept to a minimum thus conserving wildlife habitats and the integrity of neighborhoods.

- Energy efficient homes reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and their associated environmental pollutants.

The basic difference between a remodel and a renovation is the scale and reach of the project.  A remodel is generally isolated to one or two areas of the home such as the kitchen, bathroom, small addition or moderate interior alteration.  A renovation could affect most if not the all of the home.  A period restoration project, whole-house remodel or a major second story addition would all be examples of renovation projects.

Prestige is often called upon by clients to perform upscale construction and remodeling projects. We are blessed to have the skills and systems to meet their needs. However, last year we also did over 100 modest low cost jobs.

At Prestige, we strive to bring good value to all of our clients. From large custom homes to the smallest home services job, we can work with anyone’s budget and still bring great value to your project.

A Time & Materials Agreement is the most efficient and subsequently the most cost-effective method of producing quality residential construction.  The owner is empowered by Prestige's meaningful and timely budget and schedule information.  This process allows for considerable flexibility in design development and owner selection throughout the process.

All projects are billed weekly as part of Prestige's ongoing project audit process.  We job cost every project, every week.  The transparency of our billing keeps the client well informed with detailed back-up documentation of every single cost.  Payment is due within one week of billing.  This is instrumental in maintaining solid cash flow which allows for prompt payment to trade contractors and suppliers.  In turn, this positions the client and Prestige to receive premium service and pricing from our preferred vendors.

Jobsite safety is paramount at Prestige.  This is reflected in our L&I rating of 0.6 which is much lower than the industry standard of 1.0.  Our projects are subject to weekly safety inspections and our staff are all well versed in safe working conditions.  Our commitment to safety benefits our staff and subcontractors but also our customers; as it helps keep our overhead costs down.  This is a savings that is passed directly on to our clients.
