Custom Floating Home

Most of the existing, eighty year old house boat was torn down to the log foundation. Clapboard siding, enameled trim, Dutch doors and cedar decking were used to give the exterior a traditional appearance. A warm, wood finished interior was achieved by the use of fir posts and beams, pine plank flooring and an exposed ceiling of spruce car decking. The classically styled new home emerged through challenging design and construction aspects.

The wine cellar is a value oriented room utilizing scrap paneling and simple metal wine rack display system.  The perfect wine environment is achieved with a small high efficiency wine cooler.
